WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that Christianity is based on certain principles found in the Bible.

GOD

God is sovereign. This means that He rules over all. Everything and everyone is subject to Divine control. This is the foundation of all Christian Theology.

God is a Trinity. There is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The fact that God is one can be understood by reason, but the fact that God is Three-In-One is believed in the Bible.

The Purpose of the Bible is to reveal God in all His holy character to His elect people.

MAN

Adam (The first man) was created finitely good, but he fell into sin and alienated himself from God. All men, with the exception of the God-Man, Jesus Christ, have fallen in Adam.

Man, in his natural state, is a depraved sinner. He has neither the will nor the ability to come to God. The wages of man's sin, unless he is saved, is eternal separation from God.

SALVATION

Salvation is totally of God by His grace, and not by man's will or by his works.

SALVATION INCLUDES

Election by the Father. Before time God chose certain persons and determined to bestow upon them eternal life in Christ.

Redemption by the Son. Christ Jesus, by His death and resurrection, paid in full the sin penalty, which was due the chosen persons (the elect) and insured their salvation.

Regeneration by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit applies the redemption earned by the Son to the elect through the New Birth at God's appointed time. He indwells them, giving them the ability to repent of sin and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith is the gift of God and evidence of regeneration.

THE CHURCH

The church is a local assembly of those who believe in Jesus Christ and who have been called out from the world by the Spirit of God and by the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Each member of the church, to enter into the assembly of the saints, must be baptized (immersed) in water in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Each local assembly exists to worship God, to edify it's own members, and to proclaim the glorious gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

While local assemblies should love each other and cooperate with each other, each assembly is completely independent and recognizes only Jesus Christ as her head.

THE FUTURE

The hope of the church is the glorious and triumphant return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Second Coming of Christ insures complete and everlasting joy for God's elect people in His own glorious presence.

The Second Coming of Christ will bring judgement and eternal punishment upon the unsaved.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

We assemble for the purpose of worship and praise to God.

We are seeking to learn the whole counsel of God, and grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are seeking to proclaim God's Word, to all His Holy Spirit leads us to.
